News

Following are some highlights of things that Huffman Inspections has been doing.  We have a great knowledge of homes, building envelopes and Infrared Thermography; however, we are always taking appropriate steps to increase our knowledge and skills in areas relating to property inspections.  We are also supporting the local industry through activities and we will be adding information to our site about these endeavors.

  • September, 2016

    Mr. Aaron Simonye acquired Huffman Inspections, Huffman Inspections Florida, and the existing stucco inspection services of ESEC from Mr. Ron Huffman on September 16, 2016.  The business has retained all key personnel including Aaron, Doug, Bob, Steve, Pam, and Debbie in Colorado as well as Alan in Bradenton, Florida.  Ron’s involvement is now that of consultant for Huffman Inspections Colorado.

  • April, 2016

    Mr. Doug Lauffer, Mr. Scott Widick and Mr. Ron Huffman attended the first live Infrared-Certified course taught by Mr. John McKenna at the new InterNACHI headquarters in Boulder Colorado on April 23 and 24, 2016.  It was an excellent class with a wealth of practical information, tools, dos and don’ts for the Home Inspector incorporating Thermal Imaging into their business.  Mr. McKenna also offered words of warnings of potential pitfalls for the home inspector that does not obtain the proper training to perform thermography.

  • March, 2016

    Inspection Universe was held March 12-16, 2016 at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace in Orlando Florida.  Mr. Alan Bowman and Mr. Ron Huffman were participants at Inspection Universe continuing our education on Infrared Thermography, Wind Mitigation Inspections and 4 Point Inspections.  Mr. Huffman was also an instructor presenting a course on Stucco Identification and similarities between stucco and manmade stone veneer.

  • January, 2016

    Huffman Inspections opened a Florida office, Huffman Inspections Florida, Inc., in  January 2016. Mr. Alan Bowman, a long time inspector with Huffman Inspections of Colorado who holds the title of Certified Master Inspector (CMI) is the lead inspector for this new office.  Mr. Bowman has over 10 years in the inspection industry and holds a Level II Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer designation.  He has performed thousands of inspections including home inspections; EIFS, stucco and manmade stone inspections as well as building envelop inspections including moisture intrusion investigations using scan, probe and infrared tools to identify moisture intrusion paths and their related damage.

  • January, 2016

    Mr. Alan Bowman, Mr. Doug Lauffer and Mr. Ron Huffman with Huffman Inspections attended the 27th IRINFO Conference which was held in Orlando Florida from January 16 to 20, 2016 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista located in Walt Disney World.  The IRINFO Conference was put on by Infraspection Institute “The world’s oldest Independent Training & Certification Firm for Thermographers.”  At IRINFO we all furthered our knowledge and qualifications by attending the 5 short courses as well as numerous technical presentations.  Mr. Lauffer started his Infrared Thermographer qualifications by earning his Infraspection Institute Certified Thermographer Level I certification. Mr. Bowman advanced his qualifications by earning his Infraspection Institute Certified Thermographer Level II certification.  Mr. Huffman  increased his qualifications by earning his Infraspection Institute Certified Thermographer Level III certification.
