Aaron Simonye
Aaron Simonye, President of Huffman Inspections Colorado, facilitates and guides the company operations. He has done extensive training in the inspection field. Aaron enjoys inspecting different homes and commercial properties, meeting new people, working with others, and educating clients. Aaron is a NRPP Certified Radon Inspector, an EDI/AWCI Certified Stucco Inspector, and an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Aaron, along with his wife, Melissa, enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, and being outdoors with their children and two Brittney Spaniel dogs.
Melissa Simonye
Melissa Simonye, Vice President of Huffman Inspections Colorado, is responsible for supporting business operations. She is a retired Cherry Creek School District elementary school teacher of 24 years. Now, Melissa oversees the development and growth of the company.
Melissa has lived in Colorado since 2003. Along with her husband, Aaron, they enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
Doug Sitzmann
Doug received a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He worked in the Air Force as an Avionics Navigational Systems Specialist and for Hewlett-Packard as a Technical Engineer and Mission Critical Hardware Support Specialist. Doug joined Huffman Inspections in 2012. Now he is a Stucco Inspector and Radon Gas Tester. Doug’s certifications include AWCI, EDI, Moisture Warranty, Radon, and an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Doug is married to his wife Pam, a dentist, and has two grown children and grandchildren. He enjoys the outdoors, shooting sports, and playing golf. He spends a lot of time building and remodeling for family and friends, and tries to travel whenever possible.
Isaac Hollenback
Isaac began framing and finishing homes after serving in the Army. He earned his master welding certification and took part in the building of Six Flags Amusement Park and the Downtown Denver Pavilions. Isaac is also experienced in electronics, low voltage, and security systems design and installation. He began inspecting homes in 2015 and joined the Huffman team in 2017. Isaac is a NRRP Radon Certified Inspector, and an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Isaac is a native of the Denver area who lives with his wife, Andrea. Together they have a daughter and 3 pets. Isaac enjoys woodworking and fabrication, so he has a great respect for excellence and craftsmanship. Isaac’s other hobbies include golf, camping, electronics, and traveling abroad with his family.
Kevin Harbour
Kevin was in the HVAC (heating ventilation and air-conditioning) business for 13 years. He joined Huffman Inspections in 2017 and is working to increase his knowledge by helping with home inspections, assisting in stucco inspections, reading literature, and attending certified classes. Kevin is a NRPP Certified Radon Inspector and an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI).
Kevin was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Growing up, he enjoyed moving around with his family. Kevin and his family enjoy the amazing food Denver offers and outdoor activities including camping, hiking, biking, and skiing.
Joe Murphy
Joe joined Huffman Inspections in 2018 and brings a great deal of experience to every inspection. He has worked many sides of construction and roofing before performing sewer scope inspections. Sewer inspections introduced him to InterNachi, where he became a CPI (Certified Professional Inspector). Joe is a NRPP Certified Radon Inspector, an EDI Certified Stucco Inspector and now an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Joe and his wife have 3 children and 1 bulldog. Joe moved to Colorado from Kansas City, bringing along his BBQ smoker. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, grilling, doing security at various concert venues, and lifting heavy things.
Matthew Westenhaver
Matthew joined Huffman Inspections in 2021. He has a background in design, construction and remodeling. He has an education and certification from the University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix where he studied aquaponic horticultural production based on water conservation and sustainability. He has spent the last decade designing and building irrigation systems and greenhouses with water conservation practices, mentoring students from Colorado State University, University of Wyoming and Front Range Community College. Matthew is a InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector(CPI) and a NRPP Certified Radon Measurement Professional.
Matthew owns commercial property in Northern Colorado where he consults for his renter’s, manages and maintains the buildings and surrounding property.
Matthew and his fiancé Alida have two lynx point siamese cats that keep them busy cleaning house. When they are not cleaning, they enjoy gardening, road biking, paddle boarding, and winter sports.
Bob Ward
After graduating from Wichita State with a degree in Geology, Bob worked as a groundwater and surface water hydrologist for forty years with experience in more than 40 states. With Huffman Inspections, Bob has performed more than 5,000 stucco inspections on residential, commercial and government buildings for real estate transactions, new construction, and existing buildings. He also inspects stucco repairs, investigates water intrusion, and assists with stucco related legal issues. Bob has ten years of experience in radon testing as well. Bob’s certifications include AWCI, EDI, Moisture Warranty, Radon, and an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Bob has been married for over fifty years and has two daughters, four grandchildren, two rescue dogs and two cats. Bob enjoys golfing and spending time with his dogs, cats, and family.
Ron Huffman
Ron founded Huffman Inspections in 1989 and in 2016 sold it to his former employee, Aaron Simonye. Ron continues to work with Aaron and his team as a consultant and part-time inspector. Ron, a structural engineer, has extensive experience in residential and commercial properties. He was an instructor with Exterior Design Institute (EDI), a non-profit professional organization of cladding inspectors with a primary focus on training building envelop Inspectors. Ron was a past member of the Board of Directors of EDI as well as the 2007 President for EDI. His certifications include AWCI, EDI, Moisture Warranty, Radon, and an InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Ron and his wife, Betty, a retired school teacher, enjoy spending their time with their children, grandchildren, and traveling the world whenever possible.
